A few weeks ago in July we headed down to the final event of the Her Wave Challenge Her series. Held at beautiful Lennox Head beach, the weather and waves really turned it on as a stack of women and girls' boardriders from up and down the coast gathered for an epic day of surf and camaraderie.
We had some SG demo boards available to try out and spotted a few amongst the competitors! With ages ranging from 7 years paddling out with their dad or mum, up to women in their 60s, it was so awesome to see a diverse mix of younger and older coming together in the teams challenge.
Massive thank you and shout out to the crew at Her Wave for organising another successful event, especially the legends Claire Ellem, Claudia Haworth, Belen Fuller of Salty Girls Surf School, Candice Land of The Female Surfer, and our good mate, Fi Duncan, for helping us out!
